2020 RUX Digital Programs Announced
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the currency of connection is more powerful and important than ever. Although RUX 2020 weekend intensives are postponed, we are committed to delivering programs that celebrate people, place and partnership.
This year, RUX will host two new digital programs: Won’t You Be My Neighbor? and Signal Boost.
Won’t You Be My Neighbor? is a monthly digital exchange to lift up Kentuckians and their efforts to provide support, community, skill building, and connection to people and places. Selected panelists will share the story of their program, offer details on how to launch a relief effort, and answer your questions. The first Won’t You Be My Neighbor? is scheduled for April 14 from 12-1:30 PM EST, with Lindsey Ofcacek of the The LEE Initiative Restaurant Worker Relief Program; Alison Huff of Elevator Artist Resource and the Artist Relief Trust; Ashley Bledsoe of With Love from Harlan; and Ashley C. Smith of Black Soil: Our Better Nature.
Registration is free and open to the public, but is limited to 100 viewers. The webinar will be recorded for those who are unable to join.
Signal Boost is designed to spread the good news of Kentucky projects, initiatives, and efforts that are offering resources, inspiration, and connection in the midst of this public health crisis. Fill out this form to share the projects, people, and ideas that inspire you.
Stay tuned to our blog and social media for updates on our digital programs.
Be well, Kentucky.
