Now hiring summer cohort staff!

The Kentucky Rural-Urban Exchange (RUX) is hiring two short-term staff members to support the 2025 cohort experience. Apply by April 18!

Peer Helper

The “Peer Helper” is typically an alumni of RUX, and is contracted as summer program staff to support an environment that maximizes the “exchange” element of RUX, making sure that the intensity of the cohort experience is balanced by healthy practices that keep us ready and able to participate to the best of our abilities. Peer Helpers work to ensure specific emotional, social, and physical needs of RUX participants can be met as best as possible. They do so through a blend of facilitated sessions, hosted office hours, and by providing access to snacks, supplies and first aid materials.

Co-facilitator

The Co-Facilitator is contracted as summer program staff to support an environment that reflects our mission, vision, and values.  The Co-Facilitator works alongside the RUX Director, Network Manager, and Communications and Development Coordinator to facilitate activities during the 2025 RUX Community Intensives, and to ensure the wellbeing and productive engagement of the 2025 RUX Leadership cohort across our program sites. The Co-Facilitator is typically an alumni of RUX, and maintains expertise on the RUX approach, framework, and curriculum materials to ensure the program is facilitated as directed by the Rural-Urban Exchange approach and Currency of Connection framework.
